EF is pleased to announce that once again out teacher development courses offered in our UK Cambridge and Brighton schools have qualified for EU training grants.
Through the European Commission’s lifelong learning programme Grundtvig and in-service teacher training programme Comenius funding is available to help teachers from the European Union, Turkey and Norway participate in EF’s teaching courses.
These courses couple a language learning component with professional development in areas such as Task Based learning, Blended Learning, using authentic materials, cultural awareness and CLIL
EF’s mission is to break down barriers of language, culture and geography through our courses, this is a goal reflected by the Grundtvig programme which aims to increase the number of people travelling for education. The Grundtvig and Comeniuis teacher development programmes intends to help improve the quality of learning by enabling qualified and practising language teachers to attend training of up to six weeks abroad. The funding can cover elements of tuition, subsistence and travel. Teachers interested in this funding should first consult their national agency (EF’s Comeinus/Grundtvig reference number is UK-2008-669-011)
